This Privacy Policy describes how Ustadex ("Ustadex", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information of users ("you", "your") of FastCopy, a product operated by Ustadex under the Ustadam umbrella, including the FastCopy student mobile app and the FastCopy shop application (collectively, the "Service"). This policy applies to all students, print shop owners and staff, and other users who access the Service.

1. Introduction and Scope

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information in a transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, with whom we share it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide directly to us, as well as information that is automatically collected when you interact with the Service:

a. Information You Provide

• Contact Information: Name, email address, and phone number, submitted when you create a student or shop account.
• Account Data: Profile and role information for your student or shop/staff account, including shop details for print shop accounts.
• Documents: Files you upload for printing.
• Payment Information: Mobile wallet (e.g. JazzCash/EasyPaisa) or bank transfer transaction details submitted when you top up your FastCopy wallet, or (for shops) receive a payout.
• Communications: Any messages you send via contact, support, or feedback channels.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: App screens viewed, features used, order activity, referral sources.
• Device and Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Location Data: Your device's location, collected only when you use the app to find nearby print shops, and only with your permission.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as biometric data or government-issued identifiers unless explicitly provided by you.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect data through:

• Direct user input when you register an account, upload a document for printing, top up your wallet, or contact us
• Automated collection through app usage and device permissions (such as location access)
• Third-party integrations that support the Service, including our payment processors and our database/hosting infrastructure provider

4. Purpose of Data Collection

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• To route your uploaded documents to the print shop you select and fulfill your print order
• To process wallet top-ups, order payments, and shop payouts, and maintain accurate ledger balances
• To show you nearby print shops based on your device location
• To communicate with you, including responding to inquiries and order-related updates
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
• To improve our app and services
• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements

5. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we process your personal data only when:

• You have provided consent
• Processing is necessary to provide the Service you have requested (e.g. fulfilling a print order or processing a wallet transaction)
• Processing is required to comply with legal obligations
• Processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests (e.g. fraud prevention, security, service improvement)

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

FastCopy does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies within the app. If this changes in the future (for example, if we introduce in-app analytics), we will update this policy accordingly.

7. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• The print shop fulfilling your order, who receives your uploaded document and order details solely to complete that print order
• Payment processors, including mobile wallet providers (e.g. JazzCash/EasyPaisa) and banks, to process wallet top-ups and payouts
• Service providers who help us host, operate, and maintain the Service, including our database and backend infrastructure provider
• Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights
• Business transfers, such as mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales

Any third party that receives personal data must agree to protect it consistent with this Privacy Policy.

8. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit (SSL). FastCopy does not store your full mobile wallet or bank account credentials — payment processing is handled by the relevant mobile wallet provider or bank. Nevertheless, no electronic system can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information is primarily processed and stored in connection with our service providers, which may be located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer in accordance with this policy.

10. Document Retention

Documents you upload for printing are automatically deleted from our systems within 24–48 hours after the print job is completed, to allow for reprints within that window. We do not retain uploaded documents beyond this period, and shops do not retain access to your documents after this window closes.

11. Children's Privacy

FastCopy is intended for use by students aged 13 and above. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use FastCopy, and they must consent to you providing us with your personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights including:

• Accessing the personal information we hold about you
• Requesting correction, update, or deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (such as completed order and ledger history)
• Withdrawing consent where consent is the basis for processing
• Disabling location access for FastCopy at any time through your device settings (this may limit the app's ability to show you nearby print shops)

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, new features (such as an upcoming loyalty points program), or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy within the Service or on our website with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page regularly. If we make a significant change, such as changing how we collect or use loyalty points data once that feature launches, we will update this policy and, where required, ask you to re-consent.
